Local knowledge is everything, so I contacted the Bouley Bay Dive Centre to discuss my needs for the two days of diving that I'd planned, and they helpfully put me in touch with Kirk Truscott, a Jersey based diver and underwater photographer who was a veteran of more that 500 dives in the bay alone! Helier is the perfect place to get your Jersey souvenirs! A shiny marble floor in reception gives it an international feel.

With 220 rooms to choose from you are sure to find one that suits, be that a triple, quad or family room with bunkbeds, and all are a decent size, with space to relax as well as sleep. Bar prices are reasonable, with the local lager on tap and a good selection of wines. Breakfast is a standard buffet, with cooked options served to your table.
