Author by : Harry Hariom Choudhary Languange : en Publisher by : Harry Hariom Choudhary Format Available : PDF, ePub, Mobi Total Read : 83 Total Download : 225 File Size : 53,5 Mb Description : I am not a recruiter. I am a software engineer. And as such, I know what it's like to be asked to whip up brilliant algorithms on the spot, and then write flawless code on a whiteboard. I know because I've been asked to do the same thing--in interviews at Google, Microsoft, Apple, and Amazon, among other companies. According to the Last year and this year Data that we have collected from different sources, More than 5,67,000 students and IT professionals gone through this book and Successfully secured their jobs in IT industry and Other industries as well. I also know because I've been on the other side of the table, asking candidates to do this. I've combed through stacks of resumes to find the engineers who I thought might be able to actually pass these interviews. And I've debated in Google's Hiring Committee whether or not a candidate did well enough to merit an offer. I understand and have experienced the full hiring circle. And you, reader, are probably preparing for an interview, perhaps tomorrow, next week, or next year. You likely have or are working towards a Computer Science or related degree. I am not here to re-teach you the basics of what a binary search tree is, or how to traverse a linked list. You already know such things, and if not, there are plenty of other resources to learn them. This book is here to help you take your understanding of Computer Science fundamentals to the next level, to help you apply those fundamentals to crack the coding interview. Because while the fundamentals are necessary to land one of the top jobs, they aren't always enough. For countless readers, this book has been just what they needed. What happens when you get a question wrong? When should you start preparing, and how? What language should you use? Behind the Scenes Learn what happens behind the scenes during your interview, how decisions really get made, who you interview with, and what they ask you. Companies covered include Google, Amazon, Yahoo, Microsoft, Apple and Facebook. Learn what your interviewers are looking for and how much code you need to know. Before the Interview In order to ace the interview, you first need to get an interview. This section describes what a software engineer's resume should look like and what you should be doing well before your interview. Behavioral Preparation Although most of a software engineering interview will be technical, behavioral questions matter too. This section covers how to prepare for behavioral questions and how to give strong, structured responses. M Java Coding Standards. All these years, I had either coded in C++, Java or C. However, during interviews, I had always coded my solutions in C. When an interviewer asks you to implement a Stack having one extra operation, getMinimum that returns minimum element in current stack, you are expected to give your own implementation of stack from scratch and not use Stack class in Java library. C language allows your solution to be focused on the problem without unnecessary clutter of class and object definitions. Java and C are good to showcase your design skills, but if the question is not explicitly about object-oriented design, C or C++ provides flexibility to demonstrate your memory management skills and help implement everything required using data structure and algorithms. C is a lightweight language and is easy to learn in a short span of time. Understanding the internals of C helps comprehend other high-level languages better because nthe concepts and terminology remain the same. This book gives you an insight into the journey that your code goes through and best practices at each stage. This book will provide an introduction to the basics. It comes handy as an interview and exam guide for computer scientists. Author by : ELA KASHYAP SHARMA Languange : en Publisher by : PHI Learning Pvt. It is a great resource for a diverse set of topics when preparing for technical interviews, as a quick refresher in a responsible area or when you are just looking for a brain teaser to challenge yourself. Cleaning data from multiple sources to transform it into a format that data analysts or data scientists can work with is a cumbersome process because - as the number of data sources increases, the prime take to clean the data increases exponentially due to the number of sources and the volume of data generated in these sources. Thanks for the input Randall. In a course for design and analysis of algorithms, the book can also complement the standard textbooks like CLRS, Dasgupta-Papdimitrou-Vazirani, Kleinberg-Tardos as print problems, as standard textbooks stop at pseudocode level, but knowing the nuances of implementations helps in practice. The solutions are very comprehensive.
